It's so easy to get caught up in the crap that goes on in everyone's lives. It's hectic and stressful and life can tend to be a bitch sometimes, but I had so much fun these past two days, its hard to describe how un-bitchy my life is right now.
In a word (or 3) Winooski Valley Festival. Basically its a two day party for all things music. Singing, strings and band. Kids from a bunch of different schools all get together for two days and pretty much just jam and hang out and then put on a concert after two days of working.
You know how sometimes, when you put a bunch of strangers in a room together it can go one of two ways. It can either be awkward or amazing with very little room in between. This was on the amazing side. In fact it was so far to the amazing side that it redefined the previous definition of amazing completely. We spent an hour in a room together singing, which to the casual observer could seem lame and just a little bit pitiful, but seriously, so much fun. Pretty much, these are my people. We're all musicians and singers, so we can just make music all the time, which is basically what I wish my life could be like every day.
So yeah, not to make you jealous or anything, but seriously, you're so sorry you missed this...truly a day (or 2) to remember.
